Solomon has lived in Nashville, Tennessee for 24 years. A third generation entrepreneur, he has built a company to help serve and consult with small business owners across the United States.

In 2008, Solomon started his company and began working with small business owners in finance, economics, growth, and exit strategies for their businesses, and on vision casting for their families’ futures. In 2022 Solomon partnered with Stephen Barnes and Leslie Janssen to have a greater impact in both the legal and logistical aspects of planning for the clients they serve.

Solomon resides in Columbia, TN with his bride, Katie, and their four sons, Nolan, Micah, Titus, and Caleb. He is an active member at Parish Presbyterian church. He enjoys spending time with his family, working on the farm, reading, playing music, and spending time in the community with friends.

Stephen is the chief legal advisor for Compass. A business attorney by trade, and founder of Barnes+Law™, a boutique business law firm, Stephen has assisted elite entrepreneurs and their families since 1999.

Stephen graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1994 and University of Georgia School of Law in 1998. His law and consulting practices serve clients nationally, guiding exceptional leaders and their families as they scale and protect their generational assets, with a covenantal flare.

An entrepreneur at heart, Stephen has assisted countless businesses through complex expansion, succession and protection issues during his career. He loves discovering the “soul” of a successful business and promoting the ultimate goals of family business leaders to bring peace — at work and home.

Stephen and his wife Christian live in Arrington, TN; and have three sons and a married daughter, and a recently-arrived granddaughter! They are active members of Parish Presbyterian Church. As hobbies, Stephen enjoys playing acoustic guitar, writing, fly-fishing, and spending time with his immediate and extended family.

A Tennessee resident since 2003, Leslie has spent the last 20 years honing her skills in business management and development. After being raised on a farm in southwest Missouri by a small business owner, she earned a BA in Exercise Science and a minor in Business Management from Oklahoma Baptist University. Since moving to Nashville, Leslie has been involved in the building and development of a variety of small businesses from the ground up, including fitness centers, construction companies, and even a bakery. Leslie brings her unique experience with female entrepreneurship to Compass Executive Consulting, where she seeks to serve business owners by helping them build, steward, and cultivate their businesses to impact and bless their families for generations.

Leslie lives in Thompson’s Station, TN with her husband and two children. She also enjoys time with family and friends, spending time on the lake, and participating in or coaching any kind of sporting event.

Billy has been in the financial services industry since 2009. He specializes in retirement planning and risk management.

He resides in Franklin, TN with his wife Lauren, daughters Aldyn and Perrie, and son Calder. He attends Holy Family Catholic Church and is an active community member serving on multiple boards. He enjoys spending time with family and traveling to sporting events with friends.

Dan is the founder of Durbin Leadership, LLC, an organizational consulting and leadership development firm based in Decatur, AL. His leadership philosophy was forged in the 11 years he spent in the U.S. Army, 15 years working in outside sales and analytics, and 13 years as a non-profit executive and pastor.

Raised in the deep north woods of Michigan and on the white sand beaches of Destin, Florida; He is the son of a Custom Home Builder, Sheet Rock Finisher / Painter, and Long-Haul Truck Driver.

Whether working for large pharmaceutical manufacturers, plumbers, professional services firms, or serving in deserts across the globe, Dan has seen how a focused mission, clear vision, and competent leadership makes all the difference.

He and his wife, Carol Beth, have three outstanding children and an awesome yellow Lab named Timber. Together they enjoy hiking, camping and travel. He is a 4 x marathoner, has visited 5 continents, jumped out of airplanes, rappelled from helicopters, and backpacked the Grand Canyon.
